This research focuses on the innovative application of digital technologies in the preservation and transmission of East Asian timber-framed ancient architecture. The study encompasses cutting-edge technologies such as Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM), 3D laser scanning, and digital twins, dedicated to establishing a comprehensive digital conservation framework for traditional timber structures. Research directions include: digital documentation and modeling of ancient buildings, structural performance analysis and deterioration diagnosis, virtual restoration and visualization, as well as digital-based cultural heritage transmission and education, aiming to provide scientific and sustainable conservation solutions for precious timber-framed cultural heritage across East Asia.
